How long have you known Forbes and what’s your personal impression of the magazine?

I have known Forbes for around 20 years. In my opinion, Forbes is a magazine that can inspire people. As time goes by, it is increasingly difficult to build wealth, however, the incredible stories of the world’s billionaires as told by Forbes are proof that you can overcome life’s toughest challenges and enrich your life. Passion, great ideas, and discipline are the foundation of wealth, therefore, it is important to build a wealthy mindset before you chase a fortune.

Could you share three important things that allowed you to achieve your success?

The first one is opportunity, I do believe that I am very fortunate to be born in Indonesia. I am very proud to be an Indonesian, and Indonesia is the land of opportunities that helped me become what I am now. Therefore, it is important to be able to catch opportunity before it is gone. If life is not giving you the opportunities you desire, you have to create your own.

Secondly is trust. Business is based on relationships, and great relationships are based on trust. To be a leader of a company, you need your employees to trust you in order to drive business results. You need your clients, partners, customers, and everyone to trust you to run your business. Basically, trust is the most valuable business commodity, and building trust does not happen overnight.

The last but not the least is networking. The ability to network is one of the most crucial skills any entrepreneur can have. In business, it will help you to build strong working relationship, expand your business, and reach business goals. Personally, strong networks can help you enhance your personal development.

What kind of legacy do you want to leave? How would you like to be remembered?

Simple, I want to be remembered for being a kind and compassionate person who helped others. A great citizen. More than wanting to be remembered, I want to actually be someone who is kind, compassionate, and helped others. I do believe that kindness conquers everything, and to be able to help others makes me contented. Finding contentment is priceless, way more valuable than all the wealth in the world.
