Today IDN Media launched IDN Programmatic Out-of-Home (IDN POOH), an innovative internet OOH media platform equipped with patented proprietary technology to deliver OOH advertising effectively and in real-time.
It aims to solve the challenges found on traditional OOH advertising, such as high prices per installation, limited exposure, inflexible placement duration and content management, illegal position, and untracked ads performance.
IDN POOH offers multiple formats of advertising output that can be adjusted to customers’ needs. Now it is running its first phase, which focuses on an internet-connected LED on top of a car, and with operation strictly in the Jabodetabek area. By July, there will be 500 cars running with IDN POOH.
Winston Utomo, founder and CEO of IDN Media says that IDN POOH uses GPS & GSM technology to measure the impact of the advertising, and provides the information transparently to advertisers. By accessing a provided online dashboard, advertisers can track where and how far the car travels, how many people view the screen, among other features. Moreover, they can also change and optimize their advertising in real-time.
“In addition to providing innovation in OOH advertising, IDN POOH has the vision to contribute to the development of smart cities. Data collected from IDN POOH can be a fundamental source of information for the local governments in developing their cities,” Winston says.
As for the second phase, which is planned to roll out in 2021, they will start expanding the operation to outside Jabodetabek area. The technology will be implemented to other formats as well, such as tablets in mom and pop stores or kiosks, and screens in office buildings.
