To celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year, Shangri-La Hotel Jakarta welcomes the Year of The Pig on 5 February 2019 with an array of special treats and luxurious experiences. Chinese New Year is a time of new beginnings and signifies a fresh start for everyone, with the character of Pigs that will bring wonderful opportunities and spirit.

Shangri-La Hotel, Jakarta invites guests to enjoy a wide range of dining options with distinctive taste. The hotel’s Chinese restaurant, JIA, will prepare special culinary delights in honour of the Chinese New Year and Cap Go Meh tradition. Starting on 25 January until 19 February 2019, guests are invited to feast on Chinese New Year set menus, with options ranging from Xin Nian Kuai Le at Rp 1,088,000++ per person and Gong Xi Fa Cai at Rp 1,388,000++ per person.

Jia’s professional Chefs will also prepare a delectable Premium A la Carte menu for lunch and dinner starting on 1 February until 9 February 2019. There is an array of delectable dishes for an enjoyable dinner, such as the braised bird nest soup with dried seafood and crab meat, braised sliced abalone with dried oyster, sea moss and mushroom to the steamed marble goby with mushroom and cordyceps flower. All the dishes are best complemented with a scrumptious work fried glutinous rice with preserved meat.  To end the feast guests can enjoy the subtle double boiled six treasures with glutinous dumpling that can be accompanied with some baked Nian Gao.

JIA will also offer All You Can Eat Premium Dim Sum and Chinese favourite dishes starting on 5 February 2019 priced at Rp 418,000 ++ per person. The restaurant also offers two custom made Chinese New Year Hampers to gift your loved ones, Xin Nian Kuai Le at Rp 388,000+ and Gong Xi Fa Cai at Rp 388,000+.

For guests who prefer to enjoy the Chinese New Year in the comfort of their own home, JIA presents an assortment of festive delicacies for takeaway. The delectable takeaway options include the traditional favourites such as Whole Suckling Pig at Rp 1,288,000++, Whole Roasted Duck at Rp 488,000++, Small Yee Shang at Rp 198,000++ and Large Yee Shang at Rp 398,000++. These special Chinese New Year offerings are available from 25 January until 19 February 2019.
